Famous Athletes
Paul Rabil. After tearing up the college lacrosse world at Johns Hopkins University, Rabil was drafted first overall in 2008 by the Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse. Thanks to a speedy shot and some mad flow, he won the MLL MVP award (twice). Whoomp, there it is.
Kristen Kjellman. She led Northwestern University to three consecutive national championships. Then, she got two Tewaarton Trophies (given to the best player in Division-I lacrosse). Not enough for ya? Kjellman also took the women's U.S. national team to a gold medal finish in the 2009 World Cup. Imagine the size of her trophy room.
Lyle Thompson and Miles Thompson. These two brothers from the Onondaga nation played at the SUNY—Albany. They shared the 2014 Tewaarton Trophy. Plus, they helped steer the Iroquois Nationals to a bronze medal in the 2014 Lacrosse World Championship. Crikey.
Hannah Nielsen. As a student at Northwestern, she set the all-time record for assists. The Australian national took a break from college lacrosse to bring home the silver at the 2009 World Cup. When she's not playing at the international level, she's coaching at the University of Colorado. Where does she find the time?
