Character Analysis

Libby

Libby is Georgia's kid sister. And by kid, we really mean it—she's barely older than a toddler. And it's a good thing, too, since she's prone to embarrassing her older sister. For instance, we're thinking Georgia would be way less forgiving of Libby's announcement about Georgia's poop if it didn't come from a three-year-old.

Tom

Robbie's brother and Jas's true love, it's Jas's pursuit of this produce-seller that ultimately brings Robbie in Georgia's world. No Tom, no world rocked for our main girl. We don't get to know this guy much, but based on the readiness with which he commits to Jas, we're thinking he's at least a little more emotionally evolved than his bro.

Lindsay

Robbie's girlfriend for much of the book. For the scoop on this teen dream swing by her boyfriend's page elsewhere in this section.

Jem

This is the designer Mum hires to work on the house after Dad leaves for New Zealand. Despite Georgia's suspicion that those two are getting down and dirty with each other, nothing actually goes on. Mum just enjoys Jem's company because she misses Dad so much… So who cares that Libby starts calling the dude dad?

Kristy

This is the girl Georgia beats in the semifinals of tennis, leaving her poised to challenge Lindsay directly and possibly defeat her romantic nemesis once and for all. Alas, over-enthusiasm about beating Kristy leads to Georgia being disqualified.
