- Whenever Hoyt runs errands on weekends, he takes Pearl and Robby along to get donuts. Pearl always goes for a chocolate glazed. (We like your style, Pearl.)
- She's really close to her cousin Robby, but tells us that he doesn't speak to her anymore and goes to college at MIT. Um, okay… We wonder if that has something to do with the fire?
- Now back to the show. Pearl tells us that Robby's mom (a.k.a. her aunt Agnès) is from France and always acts snobby to people around the farm.
- They drive past the workers and Pearl points Amiel out to her uncle, even though she's never met him.
- Robby rolls his eyes. Her uncle, on the other hand, pulls over and asks Amiel if he knows how to use a chainsaw.
- It turns out Amiel can't speak—or at least he doesn't—but he pantomimes using a chainsaw and Hoyt is satisfied.
- He tells the guy to jump in the car; Hoyt can hire him whenever there's extra work to be done.
- Hoyt asks the guy's name, and he hands him a card that reads "Amiel de la Cruz Guerrero. Hard worker."
- As they drive back home, Hoyt tries to strike up a conversation with Amiel in broken Spanish.
- Amiel doesn't reply, but he learns that Pearl is Hoyt's niece.
- They pull up to their ranch, which is named Lemon Drop after the lyrics of "Somewhere over the Rainbow."
