Character Role Analysis
G.T. Stoop
G.T.'s strength, wisdom, and overall goodness make him the perfect life coach for Hope. In the two short years they spend together, G.T. subtly teachers her the true meaning of family, commitment, and even forgiveness. As he nears death, G.T. encourages Hope to finally let go of the anger she feels toward Gleason Beal; after all, if it hadn't been for Gleason, she and Addie would have never ended up in Mulhoney. The last thing G.T. tells Hope before he dies is this: "I can't imagine what my life would have been like without the two of you." Hope, no doubt, feels the same way.
