Character Role Analysis
Kristen / Whitney
The two older Greene sisters used to be very close, but now have a difficult relationship because they're older.
Again, my sisters were at extremes and yet similar at the same time; each was starting over, but only one by choice. (3.143)
Annabel describes Kristen as the outgoing and open sister, and Whitney as the closed off and quiet one. But despite all their apparent differences, the sisters often find each other in the same place at the same time—they both modeled and competed against each other, and they both moved to New York after high school to pursue their dreams. It is only when they can reconcile with the fact that they have a lot of similarities but are also completely different people that they're able to develop a better relationship at the end.
