- Back at the Wardhouse, the four archeologists are discussing what to do about their big find. Edward's thoughts keep drifting back to Merle and Eric, though.
- Mat guesses that the bones look like they belong to an adult and a child—so maybe a parent died at the same time as their child and they were buried together.
- Nancy remarks that it's sort of a nice thought: The parent protecting the child for thousands of years, even in death.
- They'll find out more tomorrow. Unfortunately, Edward tells them he'll have to call up his university and let them know about the grave. Within a few days, there will be tons of folks there pouring over the bones that they dug up. Until then, though, it's all theirs.
