How It All Goes Down
Leah
- With Katniss Everdeen-style aim, Leah takes down an impala (no, not a Chevy) with her bow and arrow.
- Problem! Tata Ndu's oldest son Gbenye says he killed it, and Leah is trying to take it.
- Nelson jumps in to defend Leah. "Your arrows went for the tail like a dog after his b****. Where was your aim, nkento?" (4.4.5).
- Too bad Adah hasn't taught us the Congolese phrase for "you just got served."
- Gbenye leaves and Leah claims her kill, but one thing bothers her: "Nelson had ridiculed Gbenye's aim by calling him nkento. A woman" (4.4.8).
