Character Analysis

Darren is a classmate of Cole's. When Darren's dad makes him invite Cole to his birthday party, he and Tommy decide to have some "fun" with their less popular classmate by locking him in a crawl space.

A crawl space where Cole is hearing ghost voices.

Okay, granted, Darren and Tommy don't know about the ghost voices, since only Cole can hear them, but just locking him in a crawl space is a pretty crummy thing to do. Cole ends up in the hospital after panicking when he can't get out.
