- Lee calls Deanna and wants to talk to her about something serious, so they make plans to meet at Picasso's an hour before Deanna's shift.
- In the backyard Mom and Dad are arguing—Dad's mad that Deanna didn't mention her job and he's sure that she'll get in trouble somehow. This guy's a real peach, right? Not.
- Dad mentions to Mom that even though what happened was three years ago, it still feels like he saw it yesterday.
- Deanna thinks about how things should have been: Dad should have comforted her and tried to find out what was up; Stacy and Darren should have gotten married before they had April; National Paper should never have laid Dad off; and Mom should have been home with her kids instead of having to work retail.
- No such luck, Deanna.
- Deanna goes to Picasso's to meet Lee. Tommy flirts with Lee and Deanna tells him to go away.
- Lee doesn't get that it's the Tommy until Deanna breaks down and tells her.
- Lee's got sex issues of her own: she's trying to decide whether or not to lose it with Jason.
- Deanna gets angry. It's not fair that Lee should get to take her time and think about having sex with a nice guy like Jason who doesn't push her, while Deanna got the Tommy treatment.
- Instead of offering Lee advice like she wishes she could, Deanna tells her she shouldn't bother with Deanna and Jason at all. Lee's going to college, but Deanna and Jason will be stuck in "Pathetica" forever.
- She walks away, leaving Lee crying. She feels bad about the timing, since Lee's about to go on a camping trip with her parents, but oh well.
- After work Tommy is his usual obnoxious self, so Michael agrees to hang out and wait with Deanna until Stacy comes to pick her up.
- Deanna asks Michael how he deals with Pacifica, and he tells her he loves it there—she has no idea how that's possible.
- Stacy comes along and she has an idea: she and Deanna should go out and party.
- Deanna asks Stacy what she's thinking—Stacy has Darren and April at home.
- Stacy gives up and they go back to the cruddy house. Deanna thinks about the day when they'll go to their own house, and it won't be cruddy.
