The Art of Fielding Chapter 33 Summary

How It All Goes Down

  • After a game, Coach Cox loans Mike some money. He resists, but ultimately takes the wad of cash: about nine or ten $100 bills. (Do the math.)
  • Schwartz finds Henry and tries to tell him he played well today, but Henry takes the compliment about as well as Mike took the coach's money.
  • They're on a ferry, and Henry starts walking laps around the deck.
  • The other players think Henry is having a panic attack, and eventually he winds down and stops as the ferry reaches the dock.
