- At home with his mom and Ali, Torey gets some bad news: Mrs. Adams tells the kids that Bo made a mistake and told Chief Bowen that Renee knew about his affair.
- This was such shocking and terrible news that Bowen punched Bo a bunch of times, and since other officers saw this go down, he then quit his job.
- Anyway, Torey's mom says that she feels certain that Chris is alive despite what the psychic said about finding his body in the woods.
- Why so certain? She says people are survivors and even though a lot of them aren't perfect and they make tons of mistakes and feel humiliated sometimes, they keep on living; she thinks Chris is the same way, that he wants to live.
- Even though that is a nice thought, Torey still can't sleep and has a bunch of nightmares about finding Creed's body.
- Ali tells him they should go and look for the body in the woods together, even though he is supposed to be alone.
- Out there in the burial ground, Torey kind of spooks himself by telling Ali the legend behind why there aren't any trees that grow right around the three rocks that ark a grave site.
- While checking out the three boulders, Torey finds a hole and pulls out Chris's laminated treasure map from within the rocks.
- Suddenly, a gust of wind blows the map out of his hand and into the dark woods. Ali gets spooked and they both run home.
- Torey is super tired, so he crashes for a bit during a football game and is woken up when Alex calls. He sounds upset and wants to meet Torey alone in the woods tonight to talk.
- Once there, Alex says that basically Renee is on a rampage and he himself is mad at Torey for acting so weirdly, but doesn't want to hurt him. Renee, however, has told the police that she and Alex both heard Bo and Torey confess to Chris's murder behind the Wawa.
- Torey is struck dumb, and tells him it was totally a joke, but Alex doesn't buy it. He and Renee totally think it was real.
- Renee calls and Alex lies to her about going for a run, but Torey is so mad that he grabs the phone and tells her off for lying.
- By the end of the talk, Alex says he nearly believes Torey, but Torey doesn't care anymore, since he is freaking out that this lie could actually send him to jail.
- The only way Torey can think to save himself from this mess is to find Chris's body and hope that there is a suicide note in his pocket.
