- Over lunch at New Clairmont, Will and Taft ask Cadence to take them out on the boat, but Penny says Cadence isn't allowed to drive the boat on meds.
- The other moms agree.
- Cadence and the boys go into the living room after lunch while the rest of the family cleans up.
- Cadence decides to do a little spying. She asks the boys what they did last summer and they talk about swimming, then Cadence asks if Will and Taft went boating with Gat and Johnny.
- Will says they're not supposed to talk about how Cadence ended up in the water, because it will make her headaches worse.
- Penny, Carrie, and Bess have told them to be nice to her and talk about only cheerful things.
- Taft tells Cadence that Bonnie saw pills in her room, even though Cadence said she wasn't a drug addict. He tells her not to do drugs.
- Cadence says to tell Bonnie to stay out of her room. Will says they don't want to talk to Cadence anymore, and the boys run off to Red Gate.
