The pictures display the same boy and girl from One Fish, Two Fish going into a pet store in order to pick out their pets. The illustrations are filled with simple, primary colors and bold lines. And of course, in classic Seuss fashion, all the animals look utterly kooky and friendly. There's not a frightening face in sight—not even when things start going into the fantastical, straying from dogs and cats to yents and string-flying critters.
