Character Role Analysis

Roger Rabbit

If you wanted to be a clown, there would be no better mentor than Roger Rabbit. He does puns and slapstick humor like nobody's business. And who doesn't want to exit a room directly through the wall, leaving only a perfect silhouette of themselves cut into the bricks? But Eddie Valiant doesn't want to be a clown. He's a detective. How does Roger mentor him?

Easy. Roger helps Eddie understand that not all Toons are bad. Obnoxious, sure. But murderers, no. Some Toons have morals and ethics and hearts. Roger softens Eddie's heart in return, and even helps him get back his sense of humor.
