Surrender Chapter 18 Summary

Finnigan

  • Finnigan tells Gabriel that he's no errand boy—he does not have to come when he's summoned.
  • Gabriel remembers their pact quite differently, though—he thought this was the whole point.
  • Gabriel blames Finnigan for Surrender killing the goats, too, since he's the one who taught the dog to run wild.
  • Finnigan agreed to take the dog, but this means Gabriel will owe him. Big time.
  • Of course, Gabriel wouldn't expect Finnigan to do anything out of kindness.
  • They fight over what will become of their pact. Gabriel says he's done with the whole thing—including Finnigan.
  • He's sick of Finnigan bossing him around, and it's not worth it, but Finnigan warns Gabriel that he'll regret this if he gets rid of Finnigan. After all, Gabriel has nothing left.
  • Then Finnigan leaves and goes into the forest.
