First Night
- Bobby heads back home and gets in through the driveway door so that the lights out front don't turn on and freak out his nosy neighbors. He doesn't want them to think that there are ghosts or intruders at their house.
- Even though he's fifteen, Bobby has never been alone without his parents all night, and being in the big old house is a bit creepy. He starts thinking way too much about horror movies, and turns on all the lights so that he feels better.
- He talks himself down from the brink of abject fear and goes to watch I Love Lucy with the hope that it will take his mind off of things. When he does go to bed, he locks all the doors and sleeps with his lights on.
