There look to be six available for club teams (source). Not six out of some other number. Six total. For men and women. In America. If you want the good scholarship from a club team, you have to go to the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, or Pikes Peak.

Your times also have to be solid: under ten minutes on the short course running and under five minutes for the short course swimming. The message here is that you have a better chance of getting struck by lightning while uppercutting a dinosaur at the precise moment you get your picture taken.
