Glory
You're tied nine-all. You're normally wingman and you got drafted to set hole. You're 195 pounds and you'd always felt strong in the water. Unfortunately, the guy defending you is 300 pounds and has a thing about ripping off your suit. Luckily, you wore two. Three seconds, ball in, perfect lob, dry ball, skip shot, upper left corner, thump! You win (albeit, now naked). That's glory in college.
Welcome to the NCAA Division-I Championship game, where the top four teams in the country square off for a chance at eternal glory. Although, we're not going to kid you—if you don't play for Stanford, UCLA, USC, or UC Berkeley, your chances of making it there are smaller than a really tiny speedo.
But if you play college water polo, that's the crown jewel of the pool. Are you a psycho-good player for a Midwest team? Shoot for Olympic glory in water polo or be the reason we have to re-write this Shmoop article after the U.S. men's team wins the next four Olympics straight, turning water polo into the most popular sport of all time.
We wish you the best of luck.
