Al Capone Does My Shirts Narrator:

Who is the narrator, can she or he read minds, and, more importantly, can we trust her or him?

First Person (Central)

Moose is our main character and our narrator. Because he's telling us his own story, we get a limited view of the big picture sometimes—this can be exciting, though, because anything Moose doesn't know, we don't either. This makes the story really suspenseful. We don't ever hear about what really happens behind those prison walls, and they remain the topic of constant guessing and fantastic tall tales. That said, Moose is an observant and reliable narrator when it comes to recounting what he does know about, so we're in good hands start to finish.
