Exactly how steamy is this story?

This book contains some very vague references to an adult situation. Namely: What exactly is the nature of Natalie's relationship with the convict? Nothing is mentioned outright, but Moose is warned about keeping Natalie far away from the convicts by the warden:
"Some of these convicts have not seen a woman in ten or fifteen years. You're old enough to understand what that means, Mr. Flanagan." (6.35)
However, judging from how everything goes, we're pretty sure that what goes on between Natalie and 105 is innocent. And since it's never more than briefly hinted at, we don't think it's a major cause for caution—either for the characters or the censoring of the book.
