Things Are Getting Sticky
- Okay! There's no beating around the bush now! We're finally seeing what this oobleck danger is all about! And how can we tell?!

- Everywhere we look! They're as plentiful as the oobleck itself! All in all we count fourteen—one to end each line of dialogue. (!)
- When Bartholomew tells the bell ringer (yes, that's his official title) to ring the bell, things get sticky.
- Literally.
- The bell won't ring because it's stuck from the oobleck.
- And it's not just the ring that's in trouble; there's a little bird outside who's covered in oobleck, too.
- Amidst all of this danger, we're starting to see seeds of growth in Bartholomew. Without the King in the room, he does more than simply state his concerns. He does something about 'em, heading toward the royal trumpeter to help warn the people.
- And for once, an adult pays attention.
