Character Analysis
The Sweet Pea is the best place in town to eat, but to Bud, it is the best place in the whole world. And the waitress adds to the atmosphere by being generous and giving Bud a free slice of pie, and by being, well, sweet. She is jovial and we think has a secret relationship with Steady Eddie. This character doesn't add much to the book besides mood.
