- Ange and Marcus meet up for coffee and review the newspaper coverage of Saturday's concert. Everything makes it sound worse than it was.
- Ange thinks they should make a place on the Xnet for the press to get their side of the story. "Who wouldn't listen to M1k3y?" (13.17).
- Wait. What?
- Marcus bolts. If Ange knows his secret identity, DHS probably has too.
- Ange tackles Marcus right as he reaches Market Street. She demands an explanation. Marcus says if she knows, others must know.
- Nope. She got it out of Jolu using some dirt she has on his past. Then she tells Marcus her secret.
- Those standardized tests that were stolen and published last year?
- Yeah, that was Ange.
- Whoa.
- It's unclear how much time passes, but we next find M1k3y setting up a website for all the reports about Saturday's DON'T TRUST party. He works on it for a few days and nights.
- Support is flowing in. There's even an email from one of the maintainers of ParanoidLinux explaining how to erase the signature from digital photos.
- The next morning, NPR reports the Al-Jazeera is running photos and accounts from people who were at the "youth riot," telling their side of the story. Marcus's parents are not super impressed. Some people think Xnet is a recruiting tool for terrorists. His dad tells him to stop using the Xnet.
- Back at school, there's a replacement for Ms. Galvez: Mrs. Andersen. She has a lot in common with Dolores Umbridge.
- In other words, Marcus thinks she's the WORST.
- The first lesson is all about when the federal government should suspend the Bill of Rights. Charles keeps answering questions the way Mrs. Andersen wants; Marcus (surprise, surprise) keeps trying to poke holes in what's being said.
- Marcus pushes too far after Mrs. Andersen starts explaining that since the Bay Bridge bombing "everything has changed" (13.117). He's sent to Mr. Benson's office.
- Mr. Benson has been watching the whole thing via the class video feed. He tells Marcus that he's in the wrong; Marcus replies with the spiffy Declaration of Independence quote from before. Then he gets suspended for two weeks.
