- Marcus is at work on July 4th weekend. We're not sure where (or what) his job is.
- Barbara calls him at the office. Carrie Johnstone (a.k.a. severe haircut lady) has been freed.
- A closed military tribunal has cleared her "of any wrongdoing. The file is sealed" (Epilogue.5).
- Marcus fills us in a bit about what happened to the DHS operations in California. He's one of the over 20,000 lawsuits being filed against the DHS.
- Marcus says he'll make a video about Carrie's release. It's good stress relief.
- Ange hugs him as he hangs up the phone. She knows what's going on and they start working on the video together.
- Finally we learn more about the office they're in. It's for a charitable nonprofit technically called Coalition of Voters for a Free America, but everyone just calls them Xnetters.
- They got some funding from tech millionaires "who couldn't believe a bunch of hacker kids had kicked the DHS's ass" (Epilogue.37).
- They have lots of plans for the future, including launching an ARG that will up sign people up to vote.
- We also learn that Van and Darryl are spending lots of time together, but unclear if it's romantic or not.
- Ms. Galvez has her hearing about getting her job back on Monday. And according to Marcus's email, Zeb and Masha have gotten together.
- Ange and Marcus share a kiss, and then head out to get burritos.
