- Luckily Zoey gets to sit next to Damien for her first class. He shows her the locker system, which doesn't involve locks at all, since apparently no one at the school steals.
- Nefret teaches this class on vampyre sociology, and Zoey learns about ancient Amazon customs that are still prevalent in vampyre society today (such as being matriarchal).
- Nefret checks in with Zoey after class, in part to make sure she's going to attend the Dark Daughters ritual that night—it's a good opportunity or whatever.
- Damien walks Zoey to Drama class next. The prof, Nolan, has students choose monologues to perform, but first they get to see a performance by a talented upperclassman.
- Turns out it's the dude Zoey accidentally spied in the hallway with Aphrodite. His name is Erik Night and he's a hottie.
- He performs a monologue from Othello, and seems to be performing it at Zoey, which messes with her head.
- Another student, Elizabeth, introduces herself to Zoey, and they bond over how hot Erik is. Elizabeth is smart, blonde, and cute, and she thinks Erik was looking at Zoey during the monologue, too.
