Comedy; Fantasy; Romance

This is one of those movies that could honestly fit into any of a dozen categories. In addition to comedy, fantasy and romance, there are horror elements with the eels and ROUS, thriller/adventure elements with the Fire Swamp and Cliffs of Insanity, drama elements in the scenes between Humperdinck and Buttercup. And honestly, the fact that it can't be precisely pinned down is likely what gives it much of its appeal.

Like someone you have a crush on that you can't totally figure out. Makes them all the more intriguing.
