- The Dude returns to his apartment to find that it's been completely ransacked, probably by Jackie Treehorn.
- In the middle of the chaos stands Maude Lebowski, wearing The Dude's robe, which she then drops to reveal absolutely everything.
- "Jeffrey," she breathes. "Love me." Cue sex, fade to black.
- As The Dude and Maude enjoy some post-coital pillow talk, Maude informs him that her deceased mother was the one with all of the money, and her father is a penniless poser who lives in his widow's mansion.
- She also informs The Dude that she's trying to conceive a baby. The Dude does a double take, spitting out his White Russian in panic.
- Maude reassures him that she wants to raise the child on her own, and she doesn't want a partner. The Dude now understands why the doctor made him drop trou.
- And then he understands something else. A light bulb goes off above his head. He calls Walter and tells him they need to go to the Lebowski mansion.
