The Big Lebowski Scene 22 Summary

  • The Dude, Walter, and Donny sit in an auditorium watching The Dude's chipmunk-faced landlord's decidedly bizarre dance performance.
  • Walter has done some recon on Larry Sellers and informs The Dude that the kid lives next to an In-N-Out Burger and that they should head over there to recover the money after the dance performance.
  • Donny is excited about the burger part of the plan.
  • The three of them head over to the home of little Larry Sellers, which has an expensive-looking sports car parked out front.
  • The Dude laments that little Larry has already spent the Big Lebowski's money, but Walter tells him not to worry.
  • They then proceed to accost Larry with his homework in a Ziploc bag. Walter berates him: "Is this your homework, Larry? Is this your homework? Look, Larry, have you ever heard of Vietnam? You're entering a world of pain, son."
  • When Larry just zombie-stares at them, Walter reverts to plan B, which is apparently to take a crowbar to the car parked outside of Larry's house.
  • One problem, though: the car isn't Larry's. It belongs to some other guy. That other guy then proceeds to take another crowbar to The Dude's car.
  • The Dude, Walter, and Donny drive home in The Dude's windowless car as Walter and Donny enjoy some quality In-N-Out Burger fare.
  • Some film critics insist on pointing out that In-N-Out Burger fare is definitely not kosher.
