How It All Goes Down
- Ever wake up to someone talking to you telepathically? No? Well, that's how our hero Thomas wakes up: Teresa is talking to him from another room.
- Apparently, Teresa's been thinking about Grievers; on the other hand, everyone is probably thinking about The Maze and Grievers and such.
- Thomas has been thinking about his friend Chuck—the kid who sacrificed himself for our hero's life.
- Pretty soon, Thomas and Teresa stop their telepathic chitchat, and Thomas dozes off.
- In Thomas's dream, he's about 4 or 5 years old, and he's in bed. A woman sits next to him and tells him that she doesn't know why they chose him.
- Our best guess is that Thomas was one of the brightest children around, and "they" are WICKED. But that's just a guess.
- The woman then tells Thomas that she loves him. Aww.
- Then Thomas asks if the woman if she's going to crazy like the people on T.V.—like Daddy, specifically.
- Okay, so the woman is Thomas's mother, and apparently his father went crazy. Got it.
- But then Teresa rudely interrupts Thomas's dream.
