Kallenbach is another of Gandhi's followers. Big G wrote about Kallenbach at length in his book Satyagraha in South Africa, so he doesn't go into much detail about him here. But, he says, Kallenbach "was always with me whether in fasting or dietetic changes. I lived with him at his own place when the Satyagraha struggle was at its height" (4.27.6).
Kallenbach is another reminder that Gandhi had a team at his disposal; it wasn't just a one-man show.
