What I Saw and How I Lied Steaminess Rating

Exactly how steamy is this story?

PG-13

There's no blatant sex in What I Saw and How I Lied, but that doesn't mean the book lacks steaminess. First of all, Evie has a serious crush on Peter Coleridge throughout the book, which leads to some equally serious sexual frustration.

We're treated to descriptions of how she longs to kiss him, and even get to see how she almost seduces him on the night before he goes out to sea with her parents. She pushes up against him because she wants to know what giving into lust feels like, and when they're interrupted, she even goes to Wally to see if she can practice that kind of sexual abandon.

And even though we never see exactly what goes on between Bev and Peter, they're obviously carrying on some kind of sexual affair. So though there's not a whole lot going on between the sheets on the page itself, it's safe to say sexual tension courses through this book.
