- Henry finds himself out on the streets of Chicago. He's supposed to be at work in 2002. He sees Clare standing in front of a store that carries baby clothes, and he can tell she's full of longing. When she turns around to Henry, he notices how tired she looks. They've had five miscarriages to date. When Clare tells Henry that she resigned herself to the reality that they won't have a baby, Henry reveals to her that he knows that they actually will have a baby in the future. He also warns her that present Henry will try to prevent them from getting pregnant again.
