How It All Goes Down

Natural Morte

  • Sunday, July 11, 2004 (Clare is 33, Henry is 41): Henry lies on the floor, bruised, bloody, thin, and dirty from his travels. Clare holds him tight.
  • Thursday, December 23, 2004 (Clare is 33, Henry is 41): It's the day before Christmas Eve. Henry is out with Alba. Clare runs into Dr. Kendrick and his family on the street while shopping. She tells him that Henry has been time traveling a lot lately. Kendrick urges Clare to allow him to look at Alba's DNA, so he might be able to at least help her live a normal life in the future. But Clare rejects his request, saying that nothing he's given Henry has worked and that Alba can decide for herself when she's eighteen.
