- Octavian plans on shooting down Gaea with the machine…but he doesn't realize that his own robes are tangled up in the contraption.
- Uh oh.
- Nico remembers what Hades told him: "some deaths cannot be prevented" (53.39).
- When Will tries to stop Octavian from firing, Nico tells him that they can't stop him.
- Octavian cuts the wire to release the device, and—swoosh—off he goes, exploding in a dome of fire.
