- They find a pair of fire pits, and Piper just dives right into one.
- Underground, she finds bronze dragon statues spewing flames, and she cuts their heads off, making it safe for Annabeth to descend into a cavern.
- There, they find the statue, and they hear the heartbeat inside.
- Before they can do everything, a small giant makes his entrance. And by small, we mean 25 feet tall. He's there to kill them.
