How It All Goes Down
- Marie's sitting in her room recapping plot points and worrying about Bourne.
- Bourne shows up and lies to her, making her think he's found out less than he actually did out. It also gives him an excuse to leave again for a meeting later that evening.
- Bourne writes a note for Marie to tell her he's leaving, placing it where she'll see it later.
- Bourne and Marie go into the lobby and Marie goes into hysterics.
- Marie's seen a newspaper. Her picture is on it. She's accused of being involved in killings in Zurich and in the theft of millions.
- Bourne is displeased with himself because he's involved Marie and put her in danger.
- Bourne and Marie go upstairs, and Marie finds the note in which Bourne said he was leaving her. She reads it and freaks out again.
- Bourne and Marie read the article that tenuously connects Marie to murder and theft and so forth.
- But the bank is cited as confirming part of the story, which it never would have done without pressure. This leads Marie to think that Treadstone is trying to get in touch with Bourne.
