How It All Goes Down
- Bourne is in New York in a cab, approaching the Treadstone house, which he half-remembers.
- Bourne remembers being drilled in his cover story and realizes that a lot of his memories aren't real memories but parts of his cover that he memorized.
- Bourne sees that people are clearing Treadstone out.
- Bourne gets out of the cab and somebody shoots at him. The shot misses Bourne but kills the poor driver. What did that guy ever do?
- Bourne races out of the street to a restaurant and calls the C.I.A. to try to convince them to contact Conklin. He even tells them that a cabbie just got shot.
- The people at the C.I.A. don't believe him, and apparently the cabbie has been erased, because they can't confirm that, either.
- Sooo…Bourne walks out and figures he'd better change his appearance. The taxi is gone.
- We shift to Marie, who is talking to Crawford. They're going to try to reach Bourne or Conklin and stop everyone from shooting at each other.
- Then we shift to Conklin, who's on the phone arguing with bureaucrats, trying to get the movers to stop moving the boxes out of Treadstone. But the bureaucrat, like all bureaucrats, just tells him that orders are orders.
- Then Conklin sees Crawford on the Treadstone steps.
- Bourne pulls some sneaky disguise stuff and passes himself off as one of the movers in order to get into Treadstone.
- Marie's in a car worrying and emoting.
- Crawford and Conklin talk, and Crawford convinces Conklin that Bourne isn't a bad guy.
- Unfortunately, Conklin can't call off the hired goons (which seems like a pretty stupid way to organize an operation, we think).
- Bourne's in the building in his moving-man disguise, and somebody comes at him with a knife.
- Outside, Marie tells Conklin he's a big old jerk.
- The moving van leaves. Suddenly, it becomes clear that Carlos ordered the moving men. Marie realizes that she had sort of recognized one of the movers, and it was Bourne.
- Meanwhile, inside, Carlos is attacking Bourne.
- There's a big final showdown fight between Bourne and Carlos and a couple of Carlos's goons, who came in as moving men.
- Bourne catches a glimpse of Carlos and thinks he's seen him somewhere before. He realizes that Carlos is a famous person of some sort, but he can't remember where he's seen him.
- The fight between Carlos and Bourne is interrupted when U.S. intelligence dudes come in.
- Carlos manages to escape in the chaos, because the U.S. intelligence dudes are just that incompetent.
- Bourne has a flashback and shouts at everybody that he'll kill them—but then Marie shows up and talks him down.
