- Gemma feels horribly guilty about leaving Aislin and Laylen behind to fend for themselves, but Alex keeps pulling her along.
- They find the fire escape and as soon as they open the door, the alarm goes off and a Death Walker appears. So much for being sneaky.
- Alex pulls Gemma back inside and pushes her into a random door where they find a man lying on a bed while a blonde vampire kneels over him. When she sees them enter, she bares her fangs at the intruders. Oops.
- Alex pulls Gemma out of the room and they continue on down the hallway. He opens a door to find an empty room, and tells her to get behind a screen.
- He says that he's going to kill the Death Walker, and that she just needs to hide and not be afraid. Then he leaves her by herself.
