An Incident Outside the Nag's Head
- Tom, Kipper, and Arthur eat some dinner and play card games while keeping watch.
- Arthur calls Grandfather on his doll-phone to check in, and hears that things are really wet underground; when Arthur tells him that a guy named Snatcher is probably behind this, Grandfather freaks out and tells Arthur to stay away from him.
- Apparently Snatcher is the reason why Grandfather must live underground… dun dun dun.
- Then Arthur notices a procession exiting the Cheese Hall. It's the hunting party from before.
- Snatcher appears and tells everyone that they need more cheese than ever, because the Great One requires it. Soon their revenge will be complete.
- Arthur, Tom, and Kipper sneak closer, and Arthur decides to rush into the Cheese Hall while the doors are open. Everyone thinks it's dangerous, but Arthur does it anyway.
