- The tunnels are really wet. The boxtrolls lead the group into a boxtroll nest, which is full of machine parts and gadgets… but no boxtrolls, oddly.
- The boxtrolls in their party say that Snatcher captured them around here, and shot them above ground in some kind of elevator or something. So they split up to look for it.
- Willbury in particular intends to go find Arthur's grandfather, in case he's in bad shape; Fish has an idea of where to look.
