Papaya Tree
- Hà grew a tree from a seed she tossed in the garden. Her brothers see it growing and notice things first, like Brother Khoi saw the first blossom (he's fourteen), Brother Vu spotted a little fruit, and she suspects that Brother Quang will find something before she does, too.
- In order to keep the tree her own, she vows to herself that she'll wake up early to look at it every morning.
