Cara
- Cara goes snowboarding at Mt. Rose. As she rides up the hill on the chairlift, she thinks about Conner, and how he was always the fastest but never cared.
- She, on the other hand, really wanted to win a medal in a race; she wonders why he got the talent and she got the drive.
- She goes on a run down a hill and hits a boulder, which sends her into a snowdrift.
- She can't get out and worries she's going to die, which would at least allow her to rest, but just as she's thinking morbid death thoughts, a girl comes along and pulls her out of the snow.
- The girl's her age and super hot. Cara's instantly attracted to her, which is confusing—she's never had those feelings before.
- The girl introduces herself as Dani and suggests they partner up. Cara, of course, is all about it.
- They snowboard together for a bit, then get back on the chairlift, where Dani's leg touches Cara's. Dani admits she was watching Cara after noticing she was snowboarding alone.
- Cara says her boyfriend couldn't come because he had baseball practice.
- Dani says she thought Cara was gay—and Cara says she might be. (Though they don't actually use the word gay.)
- They go down a beginner's hill together and Dani kisses her. Cara's head basically explodes. Needless to say, she likes it.
