How It All Goes Down
- Here's a little ditty about Jack and Dia… er, we mean Rita: Jack's a disc jockey, Rita is a nurse; they're in their twenties and young, hip, and fun.
- Grandma buys a radio just to listen to Jack's radio show.
- They all have dinner together, dance, and have fun.
- Dolores hears bedsprings creaking overhead and tries to imagine exactly what Jack and Rita are doing up there. She closes her eyes and kisses her pillow and imagines she's doing it, too.
- On a shopping trip, Ma and Dolores have a little girl talk: They talk about boys (well, Jack, mostly); Ma's dead brother, Eddie; and why Grandma is so off putting.
- Back at home, Dolores turns on the radio, listens to Jack's show, and touches herself, even though he's not playing the Divinyls.
