Forgiveness, popularized by Jesus back in the Biblical days, is a valued trait. Maybe because it's so freaking difficult to actually forgive somebody. Now imagine if that “somebody” was a werewolf who almost ate you. If you turned the other cheek, well, the wolf would probably just bite it off.
