Shiver Theme of Transformation

Lots of supernatural stories rely on transformation: Breaking Dawn, The Metamorphosis, Michael Jackson's “Thriller” video. But the transformation can almost always mean something different. It might be a wish for a better life, feelings of confinement and hopelessness, or just wanting to be the best break-dancing zombie in the cemetery.

Shiver is kind of a combination of the first two. Sorry, no break-dancing zombies here. There isn't even a popping-and-locking werewolf in sight. But there's plenty of magic and mystery for us to analyze.
