- The Webbs keep asking Crash to hang out, and Crash keeps on saying he's busy. Eventually, they stop asking.
- Years pass, and Penn—whom Crash refers to as "Webb"—moves on and finds other friends. The boys are in middle school now.
- Crash makes a new friend, Mike Deluca. Mike lives on the block and is a lot like Crash.
- One day when Mike is over at Crash's place, they see Penn wheeling his turtle by in his wagon.
- Crash tells Mike all about Penn. Mike seems intrigued. Uh-oh. We've got a bad feeling.
