a question of moral
- The night of the car-buying spree, Violet's over at Titus's house, eating dinner with his fam. It's super noisy, though, because SmellFactor (Titus's little bro) has an annoying kids' show blaring from his feed. Oh, and he's playing with his food. Gross.
- Titus has big plans to take Violet out for a drive in thecountry the next day. They're going to "beef country" (sort of like "wine country," but not really).
- Violet and Titus's dad get into a minor tiff over a forest being cut down to make way for an air factory. Violet points out that trees, essentially, are air factories.
- Basically, Titus's dad thinks Violet's too idealistic, and hegets a bit condescending with her over it. He suggests she should grow up to be a clean-air worker if she's all worried about it.
- Remembering what Violet told him earlier that day, Titus asks his parents why no one told him the hacker had been killed. His parentsare all like, "What? Court? What?"
- Titus seems pretty disturbed that no one told him the guy'sdead, though. His parents are so over it, though, and basically indicate they're glad the "lunatic" is dead (27.39).
- Smell Factor starts singing along to the kids' music show he's listening to on the feed. The lyrics are surprisingly sexual for a "kids'"show.
- Mom is not fazed by these suggestive lyrics, since she justtells the kid brother that there's no singing at the dinner table.
- Meanwhile, Titus's dad thinks he's being a super brat becausethey've just given him a car, and now he's whining about some dead guy.
- All of the parents are also going to sue the nightclub (since they now can't sue the hacker guy).
- At the end of dinner, Violet's foot goes numb. She mentionsto Titus that this has been happening with various body parts since her feed was hacked on the moon.
- Titus drives her home, and seems more worried about whichcolor he chose for his car than about Violet's problem with her feed.
