our duty to the party
- When they walk downstairs, they notice that lots of people have paired up and are making out in various bedrooms.
- Others are in mal, twitching on beds and really out of it.
- Back at the main party, the gang is playing spin-the-bottle—apparently considered a little kids' game.
- And I'm sure you saw this coming from a mile away: Quendyspins and it lands on Link. Uh oh! Imminent girl fight alert!
- When Link tries to just kiss her on the cheek, Quendy (sneaky little cheater!) turns her head and cops a kiss on the lips.
- The guys chat privately over the feed, weighing the relativemerits of Quendy's artificial lesions, Hot or Not-style.
- More kissing, crying, and catfighting.
- Of course, Violet's just so not into this, and instead of kissing Marty, she gives a little speech to the crowd, about how stupid theyall are to play games and do stupid stuff while the world is basically falling apart around them.
- She then seriously freaks out, tells everyone they're beingraised for food, and calls Quendy a monster.
- Way to win friends and influence people, Violet.
- She then flops to the ground and goes into convulsions. Someonecalls an ambulance, and Titus gets in, heading off to the hospital with Violet.
- He realizes that the party's over. Way over.
