In his colorful way, Noah divides the world of his peers into "surftards" (dumb surfer dudes) and "hornets" (aggressively flirty girls). Guess what? He doesn't really like them. Who woulda thunk?
The most important surftards are Fry and Zephyr, who bully Noah. (Also, Zephyr has sex with Jude.) Hornets of note include Heather, who acts as Noah's beard (and eventually becomes his friend), and Courtney, who has a crush on Brian. Keep dreaming, Courtney.
