Warehouses
- Mickey and the Op try to track down Whisper's whereabouts on Porter Street, where the warehouses are located.
- In one of the rooms, they hear two voices. One of the voices admits to killing Dinah. And then there are gunshots.
- The Op rushes into the room to find Reno Starkey and Whisper Thaler.
- Whisper was already dead. Reno is badly wounded and the Op tries to get him to explain what happened.
- Reno admits to killing Dinah: the night before Dinah had asked Reno to come over to protect her from Whisper. She claimed to be alone, but the Op was there, drugged up on laudanum. Reno sensed that Dinah was trying to trap him, so in a moment of panic, he stabbed her with an ice pick. Out of nowhere, the Op came running into the room, half-drugged, and tumbled into Dinah until his hand hit the ice pick.
- Reno later dies.
- The Op tells Mickey that he's going to lie low for a while.
- He types up in his reports and returns to San Francisco.
- Personville has been purified of its murderous thugs, but the real question is, how long will it last?
